What you need to know before hiring a designer?

It all begins with an idea.

So you know you’re wanting to change something in your home. Maybe there’s a space you have no idea what to do with. Maybe you want to update your space or you’re wanting to refresh the look with some new furniture.

Budget

It’s helpful to have an idea of your overall budget before contacting a designer, this gives them an idea of the scope of work right away and what’s realistic for your project.

Personal Style

It's common to have no idea what you want and that’s ok, thats why you need an interior designer. You can make a list of what you don’t want or start a shared pinterest board to give the designer a heads up of what you’re drawn to. My job is to make it all come together, add an unexpected flair that you’ll love, while sticking to what you like.

General Contractor

Do you have one, do you know of one already? It’s helpful but not necessary to have a GC in mind if you’re doing a remodel. Just know ahead of time: you and the GC and the designer will be doing a lot of communicating. It’s the designer’s role to make sure they are communicating your needs and style to the GC, you and the GC just need to work out scheduling and payments.

How do furnishings work?

As you can imagine, furniture is hard to deliver and store, therefore (depending on the size of the project) the designer will hire a White Glove delivery service to store all the furniture, a receiver will check for any damages and when all the items have been delivered the designer will schedule an install date, with no hassle for you!

Sit back and let the designer do the stressing….

You don’t have to worry about all the details about orders, shipments, samples, will this color go with this? That’s why you hired a designer. You get to know it will all look amazing and you’ll be so happy with the results!
